Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Yugalify ("we", "us", "our") for your use of the Yugalify mobile app and related services (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who can use the App

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
• You may only pair with a partner who has agreed to pair with you and who also meets these requirements.
• You may not use the App if the law forbids it, or if we have previously suspended your account.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). Keep your phone and SIM secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• Give accurate information, and keep your profile up to date.
• Do not share your OTP with anyone. We will never ask you for it.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Pairing with your partner

The App connects two accounts through a pairing code, invite link or QR code. Only share your code with the person you intend to pair with. Once paired, content in your shared space, such as chat, letters, today's mood, milestones, memories and boards, is visible to your partner. Your partner can save or screenshot anything you share, and we cannot control what they do with it.

4. Not a substitute for professional help

Activities, questions, quotes and suggestions in the App are for general information and fun only. You decide how to act on them.

5. Your content

• You own the messages, letters, photos and other content you create in the App ("Your Content").
• You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display and send Your Content only so we can run the App for you and your partner, for example to show your letter to your partner or send a notification.
• You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it, including any photos of other people.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to harass, threaten, stalk, control, blackmail or abuse anyone, including your partner.
• Share content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or hatred, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
• Pretend to be someone else, or pair with someone without their knowledge.
• Send spam, malware or anything harmful.
• Copy, reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the App, its servers or its security.
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

7. Our rights in the App

The App, including its design, artwork, animations, text, questions, activities and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your own device for personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.

8. Changes, updates and availability

• We may add, change or remove features at any time.
• Some updates may be required to keep using the App. When that happens, the App will ask you to update.
• We aim to keep the App available, but it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, outages or reasons outside our control.

9. Paid features

The App is currently free. If we offer paid features in future, we will show the price and terms clearly before you pay, and payments will be handled by the app store you downloaded the App from, under that store's terms.

10. Suspension and ending your account

• You can stop using the App at any time and ask us to delete your account using Delete My Data in the App.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect you, your partner or others. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.
• Sections 5, 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14 continue to apply after your account ends.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted or meet your needs, or that it will improve your relationship. We are not responsible for how you or your partner behave, or for what either of you shares.

12. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, goodwill or emotional distress, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim about the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise because you broke these Terms or the law, or because of Your Content.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the App before they take effect. If you keep using the App after that, you accept the updated Terms.

16. General

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger or sale of the App. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the App.
